Preparing this Farm Cove property for market involved a dramatic visual transformation that unlocked a huge amount of usable space.
The first step was removing the old concrete driveway and pulling down the dated carport. This immediately opened up the entire side of the home and set the stage for a cleaner, more functional layout.
One of the biggest challenges on this site was manoeuvring vehicles around a non‑structural wing that protruded awkwardly from the side of the house. It restricted access and often forced drivers to edge over the neighbour’s driveway.
We removed the wing, applied a new concrete finish to seamlessly match the existing exterior, and in doing so created generous, practical vehicle access without compromising boundaries.
With the layout opened up, we installed all new fence posts before the pour so everything could lock into place structurally. Once the mesh was down and levels were set, it was time for the concrete.
Given the size of the area, this pour required a large, coordinated team with plenty of moving parts to get it right.
As the concrete began to go off, the surface was gently washed to expose a fine chip—adding subtle texture and grip. Strategic cuts were then made to minimise the risk of cracking and ensure long‑term durability.
The finished driveway is a clean, uniform, eye‑catching feature that offers:
We also constructed a new kwila fence and gate, tying the front and back together while adding privacy. Removing the carport opened up the façade, and a fresh exterior paint job completed the transformation with a seamless, modern finish.
When preparing a property for market, ticking more boxes for buyers is one of the smartest ways to increase the value of your biggest asset.
